    Origen of Alexandria (c. – c. ), also known as Origen Adamantius, was an early Christian scholar, ascetic, and theologian who was born and spent the first half of his career in was a prolific writer who wrote roughly 2, treatises in multiple branches of theology, including textual criticism, biblical exegesis and hermeneutics, homiletics, and spirituality.   Hope is a religious virtue, sometimes a Christian one.(For this story, I only talked to Christian scholars — of which I am neither — but I could have learned from other faiths, including Judaism, Islam, and Bahaʼí.).
